Gunfight at the OK Corral - October 26, 1881

“Big Nose Kate” was the common law wife of “Doc” Holliday, Doctor of Dentistry, and the most lethal gunfighter of his day. She nursed and shared rooms with him in the boarding, possibly “baudy”, house overlooking the alleyway that was scene of the legendary gunfight that took place below.

This is based on her eyewitness account as given to Lawyer Thomas Fitch, and other accounts given in evidence at the Trial of the Earps and Doc Holliday for Unlawful Killing.

Hers was never presented in court, possibly owing to the nature of her profession.

It is nonetheless a love story.
